WE ARE SNIPES!

Inspired by hip-hop, action sports, streetball, and dance, the opening of the first SNIPES store in 1998 laid the foundation for a movement that now connects like-minded people all around the world.

Today, with our SNIPES online shop and app and more than 680 SNIPES stores across Europe and the USA, we supply our community with the latest streetwear and classic and timeless looks, as well as unique collabs and exclusive sneaker models. True to our motto ‘More than a retailer’, we’ve remained loyal to our roots in the global street culture community. For more than two decades now, we’ve been working closely with key creatives who influence the scene and supporting talented athletes and artists.

But we’re far from finishing what we came here to do. To realize our vision of becoming the global icon of street culture, we intend to keep driving our culture and movement forward in the future.

2022

SNIPES goes Croatia

With the acquisition of the Croatian retailer “Shooster”, SNIPES has opened up one of the most relevant destinations for sneakers and streetwear in Croatia. With the fourth acquisition within the last twelve months, SNIPES is now represented in eleven European countries and the USA with more than 680 stores.

2021

SNIPES goes Poland und Akquise von Jimmy Jazz in den USA

By acquiring the well-known streetwear retailer Jimmy Jazz, SNIPES can almost triple its door count in the USA. In addition, SNIPES succeeds in entering the Central and Eastern European market by acquiring Distance S.A. in Poland.

SNIPES launches Soundbooth in Amsterdam

The vision of our Soundbooth: We want to push undiscovered talents from our community and regularly organize the young talent rap contest in Europe.

SNIPES goes USA

Big moves: SNIPES acquires the streetwear retailers Kicks USA and Mr. Alan’s in 2019, thereby entering the US market.

SNIPES expands into more European countries.

SNIPES Opening in Barcelona w/ French Montana

At SNIPES we celebrate our store openings and bring international stars to our community. A highlight of our numerous openings was the Meet & Greet with rapper French Montana at the opening of a store in Barcelona.

SNIPES x WOO HAH! Festival

One of the numerous events that SNIPES accompanies is the WOO HAH! Festival in the Netherlands. Top artists like Stormzy, G-Eazy and Gucci Mane created a great atmosphere on the SNIPES Stage.

SNIPES goes Italy

SNIPES enters the Italian market for the first time.

SNIPES goes Netherlands & Spain

After the successful expansion in the DACH region, SNIPES starts expanding in other European countries.

SNIPES x Openair Frauenfeld

The Openair Frauenfeld is the largest hip-hop festival in Europe and brings artists like ASAP Rocky, Kendrick Lamar and Eminem to German-speaking Switzerland. SNIPES has been a regular partner since 2014.

With the expansion into Switzerland, SNIPES completes the DACH region.

At SNIPES we are not just a team, but a family – and we want to celebrate that. Every year we celebrate our successes together at our legendary SNIPES Family Party.

SNIPES goes Austria

SNIPES expands into another country for the first time: Austria.

Michael Jordan @ SNIPES Hamburg

During his European tour, Michael Jordan attends the opening of the Hamburg SNIPES store on Mönckebergstraße. The visit of the basketball star ensures that the community took up the entire street – what a happening!

1998

Opening of the very first SNIPES store in Essen, Germany

Sven Voth, CEO of SNIPES, founds the company and opens the first store in Essen on April 4th, 1998. Today, SNIPES has over 650 stores in Europe and the USA, making it one of the most relevant sneaker and streetwear retailers worldwide.
