Account Marketing
The account marketing team deals with all marketing journeys with trading partners such as Nike, Jordan Brand, Adidas, and Carhartt. Our community is at the heart of everything we do, which is why we co-create all our campaigns and brand activations in close cooperation with our partners. Only in this way can we integrate our community authentically at hyperlocal level and address it clearly through all SNIPES channels, such as the SNIPES app, social media, events, SNIPES.com, and our stores.
Creative & Content
Our department creates graphic, image, and video content for all our sales and marketing channels, including POS areas, our online shop, and social media. We work on layouts, logos, and corporate design standards and also produce most of SNIPES’ in-house content. From the conception of storytelling for campaigns and copy for all kinds of advertising through the planning and implementation of video and photo shoots and post-production, we do practically everything ourselves. Our content team, based in Wesseling, also has a direct link to the SNIPES online shop, which it provides with product photos and campaign images. This allows us to present SNIPES comprehensively and uniformly in all aspects, with a clear visual language and consistent tonality.
Entertainment
Our CEO likes to say that SNIPES is an “entertainment event company with a little bit of retail.” And he’s right! We cover people management in strategic and functional terms and are involved in all artist collaborations, our ‘Dream Team’ ambassador program, and all influencer relations. We also handle all event integrations for the SNIPES brand, from major music festivals through local dance qualifiers and the highly successful SNIPES Soundbooth program throughout Europe. We live and love what we do, are constantly seeking new challenges, and are the cultural melting pot of SNIPES.
Inhouse Marketing
The in-house marketing team is part of the Strategy Marketing department and a key point of contact within SNIPES’ Marketing department and for many other internal staff. Here, complex campaigns for the international market, aimed at strengthening our market goals and the position of the SNIPES brand, are planned, coordinated, and implemented. Topics range from sales-boosting promotions and inspiring product campaigns through collaborations between own-brand SNIPES and global players such as PlayStation, McDonald’s, and Netflix.
Retail Marketing
For us in Retail Marketing, everything is focused on the retail experience. We create this using special in-store communication and innovative, customer-oriented brand activations. As the point of contact between the various marketing teams and our Europe-wide store network, we’re involved in the strategic planning of rollouts for marketing campaigns at the point of sale (POS) – and naturally in their implementation. In addition to this, we plan and coordinate communications strategies for new store openings and mall campaigns. Another important element of our work is the coordination and implementation of specific brand spaces, which also contribute to a unique customer experience. This allows us to entertain our community on the ground, while providing significant support for campaign rollouts. It also adds value to a visit to a SNIPES store and emphasizes our claim to be ‘More than a retailer’.
Social Media
Our social media team operates all global and local SNIPES social media channels and supports all campaigns run on them. From managing SNIPES’ channels and planning and implementing campaigns through monitoring and analyzing the relevant KPIs and deriving recommendations for future action. On top of this, we take care of the conception and production of YouTube formats and support our local Store Ambassadors and the SNIPES Girl Squad – a team of female store employees connected across Europe. Another of our tasks is community management. Here, we seek not only to support the SNIPES community, but also to strengthen our ties with our followers, e.g. by providing enjoyable culture content and personal communication, without the use of bots. Rather than talking ABOUT our community, we talk WITH our community.

PR & Communications
Our aim is to increase brand awareness of SNIPES, and to ensure that this happens in the right places in the right way. Working closely with media partners, we address our target group directly and cultivate their loyalty to SNIPES. This entails authentic storytelling, carefully targeted seedings, and relationship management. The same applies for our corporate comms activities, where we present SNIPES to the outside world – usually not in association with a specific project or campaign – and communicate it as a company.

Data processing is becoming increasingly important everywhere, which is why the Analytics area is also a focal point at SNIPES. By collecting, processing, and analyzing relevant data across all our platforms, we aim to gain a better understanding of customer behavior and user interactions, from which we derive innovative recommendations for action.
App & Clique
As the App Product Owner, the focus is on the development and strategic direction of the SNIPES app as well as the technical and content management of the SNIPES Clique loyalty program. The core of our responsibilities lies in shaping the vision for these projects. This vision is executed through the creation of a roadmap, prioritization of topics, management of IT teams, and stakeholder management.
Digital Content & Merchandising
The Digital Content team refines the online journey of SNIPES customers. We also handle product data management and provide support for brand and sale campaigns. The Digital Merchandising & Processes team ensures strategic revenue development at the country level through regular analysis of various reports and identifies opportunities to optimize internal e-commerce processes.
Performance Marketing & CRM
In the Performance and Digital Marketing area, we manage the strategic planning and execution of online campaigns with a focus on performance and brand marketing across our various channels. Additionally, we handle topics such as Customer Relationship Management, loyalty programs, SEO, SEA, affiliate marketing, and web analytics. Based on the information we gather through these methods, we continuously strive to optimize both our performance results and our processes.

In our department, we are responsible for the execution, planning, and coordination of e-commerce and omnichannel projects. We manage the agile development process, oversee the product roadmap, and explicitly set priorities in so-called "sprints." Our work aims to incorporate customer needs and desires while finding interdisciplinary solutions.

Buying Categories
The main tasks of the Buying department are the planning, designing, and purchasing of goods that will be sold through all SNIPES channels. In addition to traditional product purchasing, it also involves the Planning department, whose core tasks are reporting and demand planning. Analyzing industry-specific KPIs, studying trend reports, and a dash of skillful strategic negotiation round off our portfolio of tasks. Working closely with other teams, the Buying department secures the flow of goods, and therefore the long-term success of SNIPES for the future.
Merchandising & Allocation
We handle the distribution of goods to the various stores and the online shop. As part of the product group, we’re responsible for implementing the merchandise strategy that is developed each season by the buying and planning team. Our core activities include systematic first allocation and KPI-based replenishment of products at outlet level. The key qualities here are good communication and coordination with the warehouse and sales team, to ensure the best possible utilization of resources. We set ourselves the goal of achieving an ideal stock situation, so that sales targets can be achieved and the company’s objectives realized.
Planning & Operations
We both provide support for and pose a challenge to product purchasing. The Planning department makes sure we have the right quantity of the purchased product in the right place at the right time. As well as achieving sales targets, however, planning and measures for achieving target profitability and target stock levels are also core tasks for the Planning department. In other words, we ensure the correct stock/sales ratio. The Operations department supports and assists both the Buying and Planning departments in a number of ways. It provides reporting for all relevant KPIs for decision-making purposes, supports internal and external communications processes with Logistics, and delivers a robust master dataset to ensure SNIPES goods can be shipped to anywhere.

Design
Working closely with Product Management and our own textile technicians, we develop new apparel and accessories collections for SNIPES’ own brands. Everyday tasks include both ongoing research into trends and converting these trends into specific concepts, as well as evaluating product samples. Right from the initial idea through product release, our designers are involved in all processes, thereby ensuring we can tell a relevant product story for each and every collection.
Product Management
Each SNIPES own brand is assigned to a product manager, who is responsible for planning and coordinating the respective collections. The Product Management department specifies the schedule, including runtimes and deadlines for each function, and ensures that the team implements these on time. In addition to this, we leverage the previous year’s figures, general KPIs, and market analyses to create the collection framework plan, which is used to define the size of the collection. Other task areas for us are supplier management, price and quantity negotiations, and the creation and provision of order documents.
Quality Management
Here in the Quality Management department, our textile technicians work closely with the design team to ensure that the technical and quality aspects of our products are in place. Factors such as fit, fabric, and trims are analyzed and evaluated in detail until the product is production-ready. Our Quality Management department also defines internal quality standards and develops product specifications on the basis of both internal and legal guidelines. This concerns both the chemical and physical requirements for the textiles and the specifications for inspections within production.

Customer Service
The customer service team is the first point of contact for our SNIPES customers using a variety of contact methods. We answer their questions and solve any problems if something hasn’t quite gone right. Our top priority is customer satisfaction, and we’ll do everything we can to resolve their queries and to improve our internal processes in the long term. To do this, we collect and analyze customer feedback, compile reports, and come up with suggestions for improvement and ideas and submit feedback to the relevant departments.
Retail Operations
In general terms, our department is responsible for all operations in SNIPES Group stores. Apart from general organizational tasks and creating reports, we implement and coordinate new checkout functions and constantly strive to improve daily processes. We are the link between our stores and HQ. This means that if any store employees or district managers have any questions or problems, we’re usually the first port of call. Either we’re able to come up with a solution for them ourselves or we exactly know who to direct them to in another department. Either way, we always aim to find the best solution.

Our team creates the look and layout of SNIPES stores, to help our customers find what they’re looking for and promote self-service. We use guidelines, visualizations, and rules to ensure a consistent look for all our stores. These are continually checked and refined. Our customers’ shopping needs are fulfilled, promoted, and inspired, thanks to the appealing presentation of goods and outfit suggestions. Our daily business includes providing support to the stores and acting as a point of contact for a host of other departments, such as Sales, Buying, and Marketing.

People Management
In our Recruiting department, we look for – and find – people who are the ideal SNIPES fit for all our vacant positions, from trainee through manager. We also act as representatives and points of contact for members of the SNIPES family for all HR-related questions and issues during their time with SNIPES. We draw on exciting HR projects to constantly develop and strive to improve the overall situation for everybody.
Training & Development
We plan, design, and implement of different types of training. Our daily activities focus on organizing seminars and training sessions and events and developing various training tools. Other daily activities include maintaining the e-learning platform, which we created, and providing support to management. We aim to provide our employees – whether on the sales floor, at our HQ, or in the warehouse – with ongoing training opportunities. All this to ensure SNIPES continues to succeed!

Accounting
The Accounting department handles all the business processes of the companies SNIPES, Solebox, ONYGO, and Buffalo from a financial point of view. We’re responsible for creating all monthly and annual financial statements and for checking and processing all receipts and payments. Our accounts receivable team provides accounting support to the online shops and our wholesale business, while the accounts payable team is responsible for processing all incoming invoices and for checking and posting travel expenses claims. We also act as the contact point for tax offices, auditors, and all company audit matters. Thanks to our central position in the company, Accounting is closely networked with all other departments and offers reliable assistance to staff in all monetary and fiscal matters.

Controlling at SNIPES supports not just SNIPES and its subsidiaries in controlling-related matters, but also Solebox, Buffalo, and Urban Styles Agency. Our main focus is on financial planning, forecasting, controlling, and reporting. This gives us insights into all the company’s processes and figures. It helps management take commercial decisions and analyze results, thereby enabling SNIPES to continue to do business successfully.

Store Design & Constructions
Our team is made up of (interior) architects, designers, draftspersons, and agents. We work together on all SNIPES construction projects, both new buildings and conversions, nationally and internationally, and are constantly updating our creative store concepts. We are continuing to expand and are opening more and more stores at a remarkable rate. As well as local relevance, we also value a certain degree of standardization when it comes to our store concepts, in order to create a clear brand recognition value. We also work across teams with various functions from sales, visual merchandising, and marketing and are in constant contact with them, so that we can deliver unique experiences for our community.

The Expansion department is responsible for renting sales spaces – in the most happening pedestrian zones and shopping malls across Europe. As well as optimizing our portfolio, we handle contract negotiations and extensions and the administrative processing of all contract data. We act as the link to all our landlords and are in constant contact with them. A key element here is cooperation with the construction section and our sales teams, which enables us to achieve the most successful outcome for our SNIPES stores.

We are the most important link between technology and the user and the first contact point for all IT-related questions and problems. As well as our HQ and distribution centers, we provide support to all our stores in Germany and Europe. You can imagine, then, that our tasks and responsibilities are extremely broad and varied. We ensure the smooth running of the entire IT infrastructure, maintain the functioning of hardware and software, and provide users with technical and application support.

Logistics Consulting
The logistics consulting team designs future operating models and intralogistics location structures that will enable us to supply our customers even faster. We identify levers for potential optimization and work together as a team to find the best solution. This may be a process optimization at an existing site, but could also involve very large projects, such as the design and construction of an omnichannel warehouse. We also examine here the possible use of the latest technologies, such as autonomous robots, RFID, or warehouse management systems with artificial intelligence (AI).
Supply Chain Management
The supply chain management team organizes the different stages of the supply chain – from delivery from the supplier through delivery to your front door or the arrival of goods in our stores. And our tasks are just as varied as the various steps in the supply chain. They include supplier management and delivery control, to ensure the goods arrive at the distribution centers, as well as the organization of these sites. On top of this, we select the best delivery strategy for every shipment within Europe, negotiate agreements with haulers and parcel service providers, and ensure at all times that the right goods are in the right place at the right time.

This involves keeping on the pulse of new trends and knowing the specifics of local markets inside out. The comprehensive retail channels from retailer through key account, both online and physical, are advised and supported intensively by our sales team – with a distinct flair for fashion and styles, the right nose for business, and an extensive network of contacts.

Typical areas of activity include office management, order management, travel & car fleet management, and coordination processes.
