As an employee in the Logistics department, you’ll receive deliveries and check that they are complete. You’ll load and unload transport vehicles and be involved with order picking. Using a hand scanner, you’ll document the flow of goods and perform general stock and inventory controls. You’ll also generally ensure that goods are stored and kept correctly.
As Shift Lead, you’ll be responsible for managing, monitoring, and controlling operational processes and managing between 20 and 80 employees. Following an intensive induction in the various processes at our logistics center, you’ll take on the management of one of our main departments. This is a fantastic opportunity for you to contribute to the future of one of the biggest, most innovative companies in fashion logistics. You’ll be responsible for the safety, training, and integration of your team. You’ll work with your team to maintain our quality standards, solve problems, and strive to achieve top performance.
As Operation Lead, you’ll be involved in both personnel and quantity planning and the organization of daily operations in our warehouse. Among other things, this includes tracking incoming goods quantities. The keys to ensuring a continuous flow of goods, and therefore constant restocking of our branches, are seamless communication and error-free working between departments across the logistics chain. Other crucial factors for achieving our daily objectives are flexibility and spontaneous problem-solving skills.
As Operations Manager, you’ll be working in our dynamic warehouse, where we manage a high stock turnover using industry-leading workflows. This is at the heart of SNIPES’ rapidly growing business worldwide. Operations managers carry out core tasks that cover the organization, management, and control of operational inbound and outbound areas. You’ll inspire and motivate your team and won’t be afraid to roll up your sleeves to provide support and pitch in. Reporting to the Head of DC, you’ll manage an operations lead team and strike the right balance between employee and business needs. You’ll also be in charge of process optimization projects. The ideas and innovations you develop here could well be implemented across the entire SNIPES network – what an opportunity!
Creating and evaluating statistics are two of the key tasks in our department. We work across departments and locations, in close collaboration with management. Other tasks in our daily work include inventory and stock control and analyzing and reconciling any stock differences. To optimize our processes, we regularly work on concepts for improvement and produce manuals for our colleagues on the warehouse floor. We’re also responsible for designing and managing the warehouse structure. We check this regularly for sustainability and deal with any damage notifications in cooperation with suppliers.
Office & Controlling is where we evaluate movements of goods and the employee hours spent on this. Working closely with all managers, we aim to ensure efficiency and effectiveness across all SNIPES’ logistics processes. We analyze statistics and generate key figures that enable us to draw conclusions about productivity in the different departments and leverage these conclusions for subsequent planning. We also create Excel tools to reduce the workload for managers. Another of our core tasks is preparatory accounting. This involves checking and allocating invoices and then authorizing them. We’re also responsible for purchasing non-retail goods and for ensuring incoming goods are correctly posted. We act as the contact point for temporary employment agencies, other third companies, guests, and employees.
The personnel office is the contact point for all employees and temps at our Wesseling, Pulheim, and Rodenkirchen sites. Our key tasks include logging the working hours of all employees. We record all overtime, vacation requests, and absences. We conduct staff appraisals and are responsible for providing personnel for the Logistics department. This means we’re responsible for the entire process – from recruiting through the appointment of new employees – to enable the SNIPES family to continue growing.
