Privacy

Thank you for your interest in SNIPES and our career page/portal. It’s extremely important to us to ensure that your personal data is protected.

All online applications will be treated in line with the requirements of the relevant data protection regulations currently in force (GDPR and updated German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG)). By using our career page, you agree to make your personal information and data available to the SNIPES Group. Your personal data will be used exclusively for the purpose of setting up and processing your application and will be stored only to the extent to which you’ve given your consent. We oblige everybody involved with our company to maintain data secrecy (see Article 29 of the GDPR). We use SSL 256-bit encryption for transmitting data over the Internet.

Consent

To enable us to provide you with our personal service, we need your consent to collect, process, and use the relevant data required for the purpose stated in each case. You can give us your consent to this by simply pressing a button (checking a box). If you do not check the relevant box, you will not be able to apply for a position with us online. Please note that you can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future. By giving your consent, you agree that the data you have provided may also be viewed by third parties involved in the application process. Remember, you are responsible for all content that you disclose or make available.

Cookies

To make our website more attractive to visitors and to enable the use of certain functions, we use ‘cookies’ on some pages. These serve to make our website more user-friendly, more efficient, and more secure and to accelerate navigation on our platform. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your device. Some of the cookies we use are deleted at the end of each browser session, i.e. when you close your browser after using the site (‘session cookies’). Other cookies remain on your device and allow us or our partners to recognize your browser when you next visit our site (‘persistent cookies’).

Cookies required to operate our website:

These cookies are necessary for the operation and functionality of our website. They help make the site technically accessible and usable and provide essential and basic functionalities, such as navigation on the website, correct display of the site in the browser, and consent management. Without these cookies, the website cannot function properly.

Functional/analysis cookies:

These cookies are used to measure online traffic and to analyze user behavior. This helps us better understand how people use our website and to improve our services.

The legal basis for the use of technically necessary cookies is § 15, Para. 1 of the German Telemedia Act (TMG), and in some cases is based on Article 6, Para. 1 (1) f) of the GDPR, to safeguard our legitimate interests. Our legitimate interests here consist in particular in being able to provide you with a technically optimized, user-friendly website designed to meet your needs and in ensuring the security of our systems. In addition to this, we use cookies on the basis of your consent in accordance with Article 6, Para. 1 a) of the GDPR.

Where we use cookies based on your consent, you can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future by changing your cookie settings here:

Reset cookie settings

The withdrawal of your consent will not affect the lawfulness of processing based on your consent before its withdrawal.

Google Analytics

We use the Google Analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited (‘Google’). We adhere to the current valid Google Analytics Terms of Service and to the terms set out in Google’s data processing agreement. In the event of your personal data being processed in a third country, we have also concluded the standard data protection clauses authorized by the EU Commission in accordance with Article 46, Para. 2 c) of the GDPR with Google LLC (https://privacy.google.com/businesses/processorterms/mccs/). Under Section 10.3 of Google’s data processing agreement, any data transferred will be stored in the following locations (‘data center locations’): https://www.google.com/about/datacenters/locations/. For this reason, we use Google Analytics only where you have also given your consent to your data being passed on to the data center locations stated above. In some cases, the third countries in which the data centers are located or from which processing is carried out do not have an adequate level of data protection, based on a decision by the European Commission. (You can find a list of ‘safe third countries’ at: https://ec.europa.eu/info/law/law-topic/data-protection/international- dimension-data-protection/adequacy-decisions_de). Certain countries, including the USA, are not currently considered a safe third country. The transfer of data to unsafe third countries holds risks for your personal data. If it is transferred to the USA, for example, access by the US authorities cannot be ruled out. Although these risks cannot be excluded purely by the conclusion of standard contractual clauses between SNIPES and the data processor or data controller in the third country, Google’s data processing terms (see https://privacy.google.com/businesses/processorterms/, ‘Appendix 2’) comprise a large number of technical and organizational measures that are intended to ensure the security of your personal data. Before giving your consent, please give due consideration to the factors stated above.

You can find basic information on how Google processes your personal data here: https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=de.

Where you have consented to its use, we will use the web analytics service Google Analytics. Google Analytics collects pseudonymous data from you about your use of our website, including your truncated IP address, and also uses cookies. The information generated by the cookies about your use of the website (including your truncated IP address) will be transmitted to a Google server at one of the data center locations mentioned above, where it will be stored. Google will use this information for the purpose of evaluating your use of our website, compiling reports on website activity for us, and providing other services relating to website activity and Internet usage. Google may link this data with other data you’ve provided, e.g. your search history, your personal account, user data from other devices, and other data that Google has stored about you. Google may also transfer this information to third parties where required to do so by law (e.g. government authorities) or where such parties process the information on Google’s behalf.

Data stored by Google Analytics will be kept for a period of 14 months. After this time, Google Analytics will retain only aggregate statistics. The use of Google Analytics is based on your consent (Article 6, Para. 1 a) of the GDPR).

In addition, you can withdraw your consent at any time by changing your cookie settings here:

Reset cookie settings

The withdrawal of your consent will not affect the lawfulness of processing based on your consent before its withdrawal.

You can also use a browser plug-in to prevent the information collected by cookies (including your IP address) from being sent to and used by Google. You can access the plug-in here: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de.

You can find out more about how Google uses your data here: https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/6004245?hl=de.

Google Tag Manager

This website uses Google Tag Manager. Google Tag Manager is a solution for managing website tags via a user interface. The tool itself (which implements the tags) is a cookie-free domain and does not collect any personal data. The tool triggers other tags, which may then collect data. Google Tag Manager does not access this data. If the facility is disabled at domain or cookie level, this will apply for all tracking tags implemented using Google Tag Manager.

Withdrawing your online application

You can withdraw your online application at any time by sending an e-mail to training-development@snipes.com, stating ‘Withdrawal of online application’ in the subject line. In this case, your data will not be processed any further and will be permanently erased in accordance with data protection regulations, with no option for recovery.

Data security

Your personal data is transmitted over the Internet using SSL 256-bit encryption. We secure our website and other systems with technical and organizational measures to prevent loss, destruction, access, modification, or dissemination of your data by unauthorized persons. You should always keep your login details confidential and close your browser window once you’ve finished communicating with us, particularly if you’re using a shared computer.

Responsibility for content

You are prohibited from posting any content that is deemed indecent or contrary to public morality. In particular, this means pornographic, political, and/or religious content. SNIPES will not be liable for any violation of this rule.

Advertising

SNIPES is not responsible for any unsolicited advertising or mail received by e-mail (‘spam’).

Right of access

Pursuant to the GDPR (articles 15-18), you have the right to access, free of charge, the personal data stored on you, as well as the right to rectify, block, or erase this data.

Miscellaneous

These terms and conditions constitute the complete agreement between you and us with respect to the application process. In all other respects, the general terms and conditions of use for the SNIPES website apply. You can find these under ‘Privacy’ at the bottom of each page of our website.
